Political Thought

The ‘Political Thought’ Specialist Group of the PSA [Political Studies Association of the U.K.] aims to promote the study of contemporary political theory and the history of political thought in the wider Political Studies community in the U.K. and internationally. Founded in 1998, the Political Thought S.G. is convened by Dr. Cécile Laborde (UCL - c.laborde@ucl.ac.uk) and Dr. Georgios Varouxakis (Queen Mary, University of London - g.varouxakis@qmul.ac.uk). It organizes a number of panels at the PSA's Annual Conferences as well as specialised Conferences — such as the Rawls in Europe Conference organized by C. Laborde at King's College London in 1999.

The Political Thought Specialist Group is one of the sponsors of The John Stuart Mill Bicentennial Conference, 1806-2006, to be held at University College London, 5-7 April 2006.
